Licensed Anusara Inspired Teacher

Erika Lechuga DiSalvo is a Licensed Anusara Inspired Teacher. It was in 2004 that she took her first Anusara class with Marc St. Pierre and a conscious journey into the depths of her heart began. Immediately, Erika was deeply drawn to the teachings and to the truths of the Tantric based Philosophies which Anusara is based. These teachings tell us that everything in existence is a manifestation of the Divine.

Erika’s desire is to inspire others to come home into the divine well spring of their own heart and experience the sweetness that awaits them there. When we are able to tap into our Divine nature, our ability to soften increases and we are able to step more fully into the currents of Grace. When this happens, everything in life becomes a magical gift to appreciate and celebrate!

Due to her background in the movement arts, Erika has great passion for asana and loves the physical aspect of creating art with the body. Using the Universal Principles of Alignment*, classes are therapeutic and designed for the students to have fun and enjoy the gift of their body!

Erika has a rich background in the movement arts which formally began in college in 1993. She received her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Arizona State University in 1997 and traveled on to NYC to play and perform. A dance injury was the gift that inspired her to attend her first yoga class. Experiencing the power of the practice, it wasn’t long before the desire to teach set in. It was a 6 year journey before she found Anusara and began the journey into teaching. Most of Erikas studies have been under Certified Teacher Marc St. Pierre. She attended her first Teacher Training with Desiree Rumbaugh and has been blessed to attend various workshops and trainings with John Friend, founder of Anusara.

Erika is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and has been practicing bodywork since 1998. She is an aspiring Permaculture Designer and when she’s not practicing and studying yoga or massage, you will find her getting her hands dirty in her garden! She has a deep love and reverence for nature and a passion for growing food, flowers and learning about the interconnectedness of all of life.
