Robin has been practicing various forms of yoga for more than 15 years. She has been studying yoga for the past 5 years by participating in trainings, workshops, and retreats. She received her 1st 200 hour teacher training instruction in Costa Rica, under Marianne Wells, three years ago. She is currently completing her second teacher’s training on Maui, under Ted Surman. Robin has also studied with Nikki & Eddie at Maya Yoga by attending their weekly intensives for the past 3 years. She has been teaching yoga for the past year and a half. Yoga has been a mainstay in Robin’s life, and continues to grow richer in understanding and reverence. She demonstrates authentic concern for the growth of each individual student.
Her intention in teaching is to make yoga accessible to everyone, and she looks forward to sharing and growing with her students. She really enjoys introducing people to yoga, giving them clear instructions, and watching their faces light up with their new found awareness.
For the past 7 years Robin has worked at the local hospital as a licensed social worker. Her job at the hospital has magnified the importance of an individual’s awareness of how our day to day lifestyle and patterns influences our health and well being. The disconnect between mind and body permeates our current culture which as resulted in the majority of our society’s medical problems. As a teacher, Robin seeks to reconnect an individual’s awareness of body, breath, and mind, cultivating vitality and gratitude throughout the lifespan.
